Peter P: This chancellor is just a rich kid with no idea. (That goes for Labour as well). He is so against the aged. Personally, I think he is racist, he hates the old white people, remnants of the empire.
I work with a charity for the aged (not Help the Aged) and the people in there, especially the women, is chronic. Youngsters today moan about how rich pensioners are, but we worked for what we've got. Went without, nothing on the drip, just the mortgage...
But the women - no maternity leave/ pay, no sick leave/pay, no holiday pay in places. No wonder they couldn't save for old age. And now, for those who have struggled to buy their own home, one lady told me she had 3 jobs when her children were young, to pay the mortgage, it's taken off them to pay for their care.
And layer upon layer of public sector workers with gold plated pensions.
