I agree with what JR has said, especially about Americanisms. Cheer leaders, cookies instead of biscuits, cup cakes instead of fairy cakes, prom nights, ad nauseum; and even poor old Guy Fawkes gets burned at the stake when Robert Catesby was the main instigator and Guy was just guarding the gunpowder barrels.

I recognise no religions as every war ever waged was due in some part down to religion, so is a load of old cobblers to me, same as politics. We are a faulty species inhabiting this planet but, oddly enough, we're all supposedly human. How many animals do you know of that truly hates and despises others of their own kind with such a passion?

Oh, and UK is not a country in itself, it's the United Kingdom of the countries England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
