Yes, I abandoned the attempt to download, and trying again about an hour later, it completed in about half a minute. Optional setting enables phone to usually switch down to 4g whenever that is faster than 5g. So I guess that at the time, 4g must have been even slower.

I do live in a comms blackspot. As commented on another thread, a place where carrier pigeon beat broadband internet!
