Not that I'm a lover of the French, but .........

........why should France have responsibility over controlling potential UK immigrants? They're not their concern.
What 'should' happen is as follows - the boats intercepting them, mid channel, should take them straight back where they came from.
The UK should stop bringing them the rest of the way, feeding them, giving them help, housing them, etc..

Like I've said before, it's harder for me to get back into my own country, from Spain, than it is for a bloke from Africa to get to here illegally!

And, again like I've said before, what the UK government is doing, at the moment, re: Hong Kong people, is an absolute piss-take. They are being brought over here with nothing, free transport, housed, given settlement grants of many thousands of pounds, plus all available benefits. Do they have to attend a job-centre to sign on?
No. Not for them.
All this "points system" and "skilled people" is bullshit. They come with nothing. No job, no qualifications, no skills, and are given money which a lot of UK nationals could only ever dream about having.

Why is this happening?
