Well, I won't be going to either Palace or Opera House, I do not go to musicals. Not casting any aspersions on those who do, mind.

However, I think Royal Exchange is probably best location for classical and contemporary drama in the North of England. I attended regularly when I lived in Manchester, and even after I left, had occasionally made the 200 mile round trip to catch a performance.

It is now a couple of decades since I was there, and Manchester has changed a lot.

I also no longer have living relatives in the area.

Can any of you be so kind as to suggest a good place to park, that might permit me an afternoon enjoying the city, followed by an evening at the R E, and still able to easily retrieve the car, possible after mid night for the drive home?
