My claim to fame of chuckin' arrows was,
I was playing for the Golden Ball, ( thats a pub not an award) , we were playing the T'hinge, A top team from ashton and their star player was, ( I can't remember his name) but he was a top player, I was on last against him and it was neck and neck to this game, whoever won this game won game ,set and match, It was, round the board, 1 to 20 and bull,
I set off, double 1, 3,4, was my first 3 arrows, my next 3 was, double 5, double 10, double 5, 6 arrows chucked and only the bull to win, my next chuck was, somewhere on the board but not counted next was, Bullseye, smack int Belly, The crowd roared, We was the winners and the pub wa full of joy from the Golden ball team and sorrow from the thinge,
now normal practice after such an event was, to shake hands but, the thinge player , threw his darts on the floor and said in a loud voice, " never in't memory of Mon will that mon chuck like that again," that was sour grapes from a loser but, he was right, I never did that ever again,
