Was on my way back from birmingham in truck on thursday, I've never known wind like that, it was quite drafty to say the least, I arrived at the Lymm junction just as they closed Thelwall viaduct due to an artic being blown over and left hanging over edge of bridge,on my way over to Ormskirk I came across a bloke in his garden, one of his tree's had been uprooted and although it hadn't fallen on his car, it was leaning on his garage with the branches in front of the car stopping him from getting the car out of the way,
I told him I could lift the tree with the hiab (crane ) on the back of my truck, so he could get his car out of the way before the tree fell altogether,
He asked how much, I told him 30 quid and he told me to go and do thing's to myself, so, I left him to it after telling him the same
I did my pick up at Ormskirk and decided to go back past the blokes house,he was stood with a group of blokes looking at his crushed car and garage, it looked like there was another car in the garage aswell, I blew my horn at him and waved as I passed by, he gestured with the Winston Churchill salute, I laughed all the way back to my depot
