Karvern, I left home at 16 years of age to join the Merchant Navy, this helped me a lot to understand the wants and needs of other people In other parts of the World, they say that travel broadens the the mind, how true .
It taught me to respect the rights of everyone to rule themselves In anyway they
like. It,s not up to the bigger Countries
with all the power and money to force these little Countries to toe the line to some one Else's views. When Hitler was Invading Countries around Europe we called him a tyrant, now the coalition of the willing his doing the same thing to Iraq
We did,nt Interfere In the Philippines
when Marcos(Allie of U S)was terrorising
the people .We don,t Interfere In Zimbabwe
where there his mass abuse of peoples rights,we are selective where we Interfere
The Filipinos over threw Marcos to get their freedom.
I some time become cynical about our motives In Iraq, maybe Big business has a bearing on It ,It,s just my view.
Joining the Merchant Navy took me out of my cocoon,Hope You Have A Happy New Year
Good Night and God Bless To you and your
Family.
