General   (General discussion, talk about anything.)

The war against Hitler and any other war was different to what we are facing now. A lot due to easier mobility, more people travel internationally on a regular basis than 50 years ago. Advances in technology, remote control devices etc.

This sounds simplistic and with all due respect to any ex-soldiers, but in the second world war at least you knew who your enemy was and where they were (most of the time). It's the unknown terrorists that are wreaking havoc and are the most worrying for me.

You don't know WHO they are, could it be your neighbours? the guy who works next to you? or WHERE they are or where they will strike next. There are no rules - anybody is fair game, anywhere, any time. Hence bombs in London, 9/11 etc.

Not a nice world is it?
