When I first moved to Poolstock Lane we had a unique bus stop that was very rare, The Highfield circular stopped in the bus stop out side our house. So we had a bus that we could get on our house and go to Wigan, It went from Poolstock lane turned left at Warrington road and left again at the Ben Johnson and through Hawkley and then onto Wiganso on our return we could get on the same bus and it dropped us off at the bus stop on our door step, Pretty cool hey ? Now we have the 639 which is the best service for getting into Wigan but, We have to cross the road to go to Wigan and its a 10- 15 minute ride into Wigan but it only runs hourly and 2 hourly on Sunday,
