You must have been lucky, because many of the people of our age I have known have been in involved in industrial action of some sort over the years.

In my case, newly married in the early seventies and on strike for seven weeks living on the breadline and three weeks during the Murdoch/Shah printing dispute and other disputes to get better pay, condition's and job security.

Since the Miners strike of 1984. many have never seen any real industrial action until now.
