Broady…your words made me think. I cannot recall any of my family going on strike…my generation which is more or less yours and my parents generation as well. My father had six brothers my mother four sisters and a brother, none ever on strike. I expect it was dependent on their work, all of a manual type. Seems they managed well enough for most to eventually own their homes.
