General   (General discussion, talk about anything.)

My last day in Cheetham Hill was New Year's Eve, 1979. Had been at a friend's new year party, where we all spilled out at midnight to the sounds of all the ships hooting in the docks. So that is something gone forever.

Lived in a number of places, from Littleborough in NE, to Bramhall in SW. Though Didsbury probably my favourite.

I was with someone that I really loved, so memories, alas are rose tinted.

I loved 'The Royal Exchange'. University's English department used to do a workshop on prior Wednesday when they ran a Shakespeare play. Usually went to the final dress rehearsal rather than the normal performances.

I know it has all changed. Often look on Google street view, and I no longer recognize owt.

I am only in Yorkshire, but have health issues and other stuff making moving unlikely.
