Singing needs training, If you can hear the difference in pitch then, you are not, tone deaf and, if you are not tone deaf, you can learn to sing properly, Its all about breathing and forcing air from the stomach to the vocal chords, Obviously, I've never learned it because, I've been busy earning a living and keeping my family,,
Go with what you have, A blackbirds song is happy and very nice but a crow song is awful, neither are trained singers and they don't sing to entertain us
