I am asking for someone to please explain to me just how can a firm that sells petrol .diesel etc charge the consumer £1 .44.p .9 of a PENNY When i used to attend my secondary modern and junior schools i was never taught that we had such thing as a point of a penny! Those days we had 240 whole pennies to one pound . Then it changed to 100 pence to one pound and still is today ( i think ) SO why and how when i go for a litre of petrol i am told i have to pay £1 pound 44 pence and point 9 of a penny , WHEN THERE IS NO SUCH THING , WHY AM I AND THE GREAT BRITISH PUBLIC ARE ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN ????? TO GO ONE FURTHER WHY ON EARTH ARE WE STILL TALKING IN TERMS OF LITRES /METRE'S ETC WHEN WE ARE NO LONGER GOVERNED BY EUROPE ???? CAN'T WE NOT REVERT TO GALLON'S AND OUNCE'S?? FOR WHEN I GO TO BUY A NEW CAR THE REP ALWAY'S SAY'S TO ME THIS SIR DOES 45 MILE 'S TO THE GALLON , HE /SHE NEVER SAY'S IT DOES X AMOUNT OF MILES TO THE LITRE SO I ASK WHY,WHY ???? JUST THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE A RANT TODAY ! GB
