Sadly, we are living in a different world when it comes to many things. The music industry and everything connected to it is far from the way it used to be. Ths industry closed and bolted many doors, as to say, to protect certain companies and people.
It is clearly obvious that Adele is ridiculously promoted and 'hyped' certainly comes to mind.
Why is Adele ridiculously promoted?
The obvious answer is easy, because she is backed by the 'big boys'.
"Adele is now officially a major label artist in the UK. ... Adele's contract with XL expired after the release of her third album, 25. The singer's manager Jonathan Dickins then signed a global deal with Sony Music reportedly worth £90 million, although there has never been a formal announcement about her move."
A friend of a friend once worked for a radio station and when I asked him about certain artists being constantly played, he told me that the station had to because of the financial support from certain very large companies. He told me that if they didn't play that particular music, the companies would stop the financial support.
