Tis was the result of the Hot weather We had Like real railways the track buckled with the Heat.

Good job it wasn't all welded rail.

The Rebuilding'

This part replaced the one above as it was smashed up & thrown in the bin.

Just put a few xtra bridges in here. not decided what scenics to put in yet.

Nothing much changed here,Just re-laid the track.

Broke through into next room also last photo just giving stock a run.

As You can see I have knocked through into the next room, This saves Me having to keep crawling under the layout. Again extended layout into another room, also this station was moved & put into the next room .

Used most of My boards that I had So I know how much more I will need, Will probably use wardrobe doors & whatever  timber I can scavenge.

Here's Where Both tracks go into one via a point & then into the fiddle Yard

Originally I was building Wigan Central to West-Leigh & Bedford Stations, But due to having to demolish the original layout I decided to use a bit of modelers licence & just build whatever came to mind, I kept the names for the stations the same. The last station will be Bickershaw & Abram.

As I said before The fiddle yard loops had to be abandoned So the locos now have to be moved from the front of the train turned around & put on the
other end , Each track holds at least 7 coaches plus loco.

I've got my eye on a Bullied Q1 having purchased two Southern carriages at the WMRE in October.

Hope so jarvo, Have you started Your layout Yet, If so will it be Southern, I Believe Q1 was called the UGLY DUCKLING. Thanks for the interest.

Layout well in progress. Just corking the main lines and will soon be tacking down.

Actually, the Q1 will be a visitor; most of my stuff is LMR based.

Another name for the Q1 was a Frankenstein.

Under orders again,Got to Demolish. This was the fiddleyard. This is where Hindley South railway station was.

You need plenty of space and be single to show a large layout in the house( or have a large attic). Bloke near me uses his front bedroom and one of my mates uses all of his dining room. He had an extension built to make his kitchen into a kitchen /dinerexpensive for a train layout.

This is the remains of Lower Ince Station & Church.

I have given the viaduct to Millom Model Railway Club.Peter It isn't a cheep hobby this caravan was costing about £3.500.00 a year to keep on site.

It's alleged that when William Stanier first saw the Q1 he said "Ok where's the key"?

This is the Wigan Central Station board I have also given to Millom Model Railway Club along with some of the other boards.

I have given the company Notice that I am giving the van up, Also given them the keys & agreed to allow them to demolish it.

Started to build My layout again, Went to SAVOY TIMBER. Was sorted with battens cut to size & out in 10 minutes.

Cindy when it comes to modelling , You are the top player in the highest league, a Professor Modeler , If you had those displays in a showroom in the lakes rather than a static caravan, people would pay to look at them, Young and old, with a tearoom at the side with ice-cream sales, It would pay its own rent and give profit to build more
