I have had computers for many years but the truth is I only know the basics. I have always wanted to learn more. In the past night schools used to run courses about using basic computing. Do any of these classes still exist? I would like to sign up for a course which runs for 1or 2 hrs but no longer due to home commitments.

Look if WEA are still offering such.

But clarify exactly what you want from the course.

I have known many who have been disappointed, finding themselves on courses not suited to their needs.

You will find lots of courses online also.

But assessing their quality is quite challenging.

You may find the library a useful source of information concerning what courses are to be had. But, I guess that for a little while, they are all crushed by Covid restrictions.

Do check them out though.

Twenty years back, I spent £90 on a Web authoring course recommended by the library, and it was utter crap!
(Totally dependent on MS 'Frontpage', which Microsoft soon pulled)

Any local computer clubs? They might know of classes.

PS Have you done a Google search?

Adult Classes+computer+localities you wish to consider?

And maybe repeat search when classes pick up again after hiatus of Covid restrictions.

Annoying, ain't it.

Forever meeting people, and struggling to remember their names. Sometimes even people that I know well.

Be on the tip of my tongue, but no. it evades me.
