Temp

Started by: PeterP (11306)

Was cooking breakfast this morning about 9-00 and the temperature in the kitchen was 27.5C that was with the back door open and the windows open to try and create a through draft. Went into the greenhouse were I had left the door open all night and the window was also open and the temp was 32C. No wonder they advice you to stay indoors and sit in a shaded area and take onboard plenty of fluids(not ale)

Peter, back in the seventies I was a landscape gardener. In summer, people would say to me 'what a great job'! I don't think so - imagine being roasting and sweating when you commence work and the heat intensifies /) as you carry out hard manual work. That long hot summer with drought (77?) was unbearable. I always longed for winter outdoors.
Took me 2 hours today just to ensure the plants in the front garden wouldn't suffer - glad I'm not currently paying for water.

GB JR means he is not on a water meter so he can water his gardens to his hearts content

Ha, ha; yes.
But my comment was actually a hybrid. I don't have a water meter but I do have a large water butt that collects rain water - so the tap water tops up when the butt is exhausted!
