NHS messaging

Started by: PeterP (11312)

Over the last few weeks and going into next week we had/have various hospital/clinic appointments. We think it is going over the top because we have had at least one electronic phone call plus two text messages for each appointmentDo we need so many messages for each appointment We could understand one message for an appointment but not 3/4

PeterP,
It is the same here with the dentists. I half expect a message on the TV the week before I go. I had " discussed" this with them previously and last year I went in and asked them if anyone ever missed an appointment and they replied " Yes Bill. You should have been here yesterday"

And in spite all those reminders I bet some still won't turn up

At great cost to the NHS. Read the cost of missed appointments.

I get them on a regular basis and can't believe how many still don't turn up for appointments....these people must be thick or ignorant if they can't pick a phone up and cancel....
