pop up windows

on going on my internet banking logging in ,i needed to go on reccomend a friend ,when i pressed thid message came up firefox prevented this because of pop up windows .can someone explain this in laymans language how do i delete these pop up windows .never had this before .thankyou

Ecmdj I have installed Ad-Blocker Plus and this stops most pop ups
