The standards of refereeing has sunk to an all time low , whilst appreciating it's a difficult job there are no excuse's for incompetence ! Also what is another irritating item within rugby league is the continual shouting by the men in the middle , yesterday was absolutely ridiculous he was clearly heard well above the crowd , can anyone please explain to me why do they have to keep shouting the number of tackles ??? THE PLAYER'S are supposed to be PROFESSIONAL ARN'T THEY?? they do not need all this crap ! IF they don't know how many tackles have gone on then heaven help us !!!!! I also watched the other code's final ,and by the way a full house of 80 ,000 not a half full one like at WEMBLEY and one glaring item stood out from that at TWICKENHAM was one NEVER heard the referee ???? WHY???? Because they are A DAMN LOT MORE Professional that the R.L. ones .

Coppers yellow card was ridiculous ,duftys was harsh I don't think the ref made either decision

Twickenham was full but not by supporters of each team 50000 tickets are sold by other club “members” and doctors and dentists…just like the MCC at cricket….its a world away from our working class Northern Sport …don’t knock it GB it will never change…all this Swing Low Sweet Charriots is all going back to Harrow and private schools…I saw plenty of this playing Rugby Union in the Royal Navy and to a certain extent playing at Newton Le willows Grammar in the 60’s…where we never played football

Half the people watching rugby union finals\international probably don't kn ow the rules it's the place to be seen and the game is always rubbish

Twickenham is always full as most of the people at a game live in and around the London area with many on free tickets given to the companies in the City of London and private schools like Eton, Harrow, Charterhouse, Rugby etc which are paid for by the lucrative tv deals with Sky, BBC, ITV and the many sposorship deals which the RFU get every season.

Like Handsomeminer says, a place to be seen rather than having any knowledge of the game.

A bit like Royal Ascot, Henley Royal Regatta, Wimbledon etc.

There does seem to be more tries scored these days but 80% of the game is slow and very technical..playing for penalties 50 yards out

The MRP has taken no further action on Cooper and Duffy which is hardly surprising, but as usual cited other Wigan players for alleged foul offences, but again none from Warrington.

OC.My son lives in Twickenham and on match days the place is buzzing and fans come from everywhere depending on the game and they are not all Hooray Henry’s.My three grandsons all play RU and love it and get their fair share of knocks.As for the rules they often baffle me.

There are after all more RU teams within Lancashire than there are RL so how can it be ‘a world away from our working class Northern Sport’??
