Man U tour

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

I see United's your finished with a draw against Aston Villa 2-2 the match was played in very bad weather howling wind's & rain , all -in- all i think they have done well now it's back home to the bread and butter games !
I still think that united should put a bid in for Antony .Also i note that Ten Hag was furious at the way the side let their 2-0 slip away to a draw ,he just kept arguing that they have to keep focused ,focused , wow looks like he will not stand for any crap!!!!GB

Conceding a last minute goal was a good kick up the backside and message to the manager that we can't defend set pieces and are quite capable of giving away "wins" in the dying seconds of matches if he didn't already know that, better now than the first game of the season.
Considering it's basically the same players minus the ones that have left (two of the new signings and hopefully two more will be added come deadline day, yet to be involved) it has been a good tour and you can see they are playing with more intensity and tempo than last season already.
"The boss" is certainly a manager/coach who can improve players and that is something we have been lacking for quite a few years now.
Onwards and upwards!

Coudnt have put it any better myself chatty.
They need to play as though they mean it .
I am confident the boss will insist on high intensity.

Keep the faith.
We will return to the top .

United 0-1 a/ Madrid.
Felix scores in 86 minute,

United far better team in first half,4 good chances, martial clean through and fires over bar, bad miss when your playing a good team,
Madrid pressed very well and its a good run out for them,
Subs changed the game in second half and Madrid came more into the game ,

I just cannot get my head around some of you saying " Let Him Go" are we forgetting the 20 odd goals he got us last season which in truth without those we could have been talking about being nearer to the bottom 3 ! Never mind finishing 6th .
SO ok if you want him out tell me what the hell have we got scouts for at United ? if we have any at all ! why have we let the stars slip thro our fingers so many times in the past ,and what is happening with the Brazilian star
ANTONY? Who is at AJAX .. What with Haaland at city and Nunez at L/pool
And what have we got ??? Another dismal season to look forward to . We were supposedly told by the Glaziers that Money is available to spend on player's and ground renovation's .. SO were are the proceeds ??GB

I would imagine that his contract is watertight and he will be on full salary.
What i am waiting for is a LIVE interview with C R perhaps on sky sports .
All we have presently is newspaper articles and social media stuff .
A sports editor can order a journo to produce a few hundred words on the C R situation .
Dosnt have to be true .
Long as it sells a few more papers .
The M E N is a case in point .

Mr.Grimshaw .
In response to your letter.
1.Firstly "Yes we are the very best known club in the world "
2. As for the "Berties they are NOT even a legend Anywhere"
The fact that they still got that arena thanks to the silent majority
of ratepayer's of the 10 borough's of Great Manchester !
It's ok after the fact saying some snubbed-nosed foreign guy
with shed load's of money he stole from his own people paid
for it later ,not in my book .
Lastly i will only listen a wee bit to them when they finally put
M.C ON C.L.C. until then it's all piss and air ! GB
P.S. I in Wigan along with the other 9 borough'd were never consulted
as to the purchase /sale of the council house estate .!!

1) Firstly "Yes we are the very best known club in the world "

You are deluded, Liverpool, Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid, to name but four, might beg to differ.

2) As for the "Berties they are NOT even a legend Anywhere"

Empty statement which means nothing but reeks of bitterness.

3) The fact that they still got that arena thanks to the silent majority
of ratepayer's of the 10 borough's of Great Manchester !

Wrong, only the council tax payers of The City of Manchester contributed.

4) It's ok after the fact saying some snubbed-nosed foreign guy
with shed load's of money he stole from his own people paid
for it later ,not in my book .

Incorrect, uninformed drivel....again.

5) Lastly i will only listen a wee bit to them when they finally put
M.C ON C.L.C. until then it's all piss and air ! GB

Keep grasping at that straw GB, it's all you lot have left.

6) P.S. I in Wigan along with the other 9 borough'd were never consulted
as to the purchase /sale of the council house estate .!!

And nor should you have been, it was none of your business.

The determination to succeed comes from the top in any organisation. The club owners aren't desperate to win anything, just to be in the competitions where most money can be extracted, (didn't Woodward once let the cat out of the bag by saying "United don't need to win trophies to keep the sponorship money rolling in).
There is no desperation for them to win the League, just to try and qualify for the CL so they have been happy to put bankers in charge of footballing matters (
and who have wasted hundreds of Millions along the way) and have fell well behind.
I don't know the difference in prize money between winning the League and finishing 4th same with the CL the quarters/ semis "wil do" you're at the top table and getting publicity/sponsorship and that's all that matters to them.
The Sportswashers on the contrary are at City with an utterly different agenda, to try and show their oppressive regime in a completly different light and that is why they are desperate to win everything including things like the Community Shield so they
strove to put the best people in the right positions when re structuring the club.
Nothing will change at OT until the Glazers are gone and they have no reason to leave whilst they are taking their dividends, even if it means sucking the life out of the club!

The guy who appears on sky sports transfer news summed up the glazer situation v succinctly .
The glazers got utd on borrowed money which needs servicing .
.The repayments the glazers have to pay is bleeding the club dry .
Hence we fall behind .
But we will come again. The glazers will not be around forever .
Keep the faith .
Re maine road .
My pal Ray from orrell was a big bertie fan and persuaded me to go to maine road v Wolves with him .
This would be 60- 61season i reckon.Possibly the season before
We stood at the rear on the terrace behind the goal to the right as the teams took to the pitch .
The place was a shite hole . A vermin infested hole. Reeking of urine .
A disgrace .
Just as now .
Big club my arse .
