It's the FA Youth Cup final tomorrow..

...at Old Trafford Manchester United v Nottingham Forest, over 65000 tickets have been sold making it the biggest attendance for a football match in the land outside of Wembley and first team games at OT, this season or many a long season for that matter.
Read it and weep City

Why is it at Old Trafford if it's a final
Replied: 11th May 2022 at 11:00

why not .

The finalists toss a coin to see which ground the final will be played United won and Forest are bringing 5000, anyhow the demand is so big to see the youth team that has won the competition more than any other that Anfield was out of the question.

wot do you think of tonights win guys ? .
Replied: 12th May 2022 at 00:00

Great win, little fortunate for the penalty but playing on that stage in front of that crowd will do them a world of good.
It will be interesting to see how many go on to have a career in the game and if any make the grade at OT.

Feel free to congratulate the youngsters if you can find it in yourself todger rather than dig up a month old post to make a comment on

i,ve seen a lot of the acadamy & u23 games & know the tallent that,s in there . the problem is that they are farming them out & they arnt getting a chance in the 1st team for the dead wood that,s in there . lets hope the new manager who has a history of bringing youngsters on can give some of them a chance instead of letting them leave ? .congrates to the young guns in last nights victory to give us something to shout about.

Not seen the game whups but I'm hoping catch it on mu TV.
Also bring back garner, playing well for forest this year, from reports he been brill for them,
Get some young hungry players and in a couple of years they will grow together.

even if he comes back there,s no way he,s going to get a shot just like chong shortire & the rest . i saw garner ages ago & picked him as a future 1st teamer then he was sent out on loan to forest for a 2nd time . i agree with your sentiments & hope the new manager can see wot we are seeing .

Terrific win by the young players.
I concur with comments about Garner .
Watched him only on t v for forest but he is very very assured with the ball .
Finds space when others struggle which is the sign of a good player.
Hope erik likes him and he gets his chance .
Replied: 12th May 2022 at 14:12

grim he,s got a rocket of a shot in either foot . remind you of anyone ? .
Replied: 12th May 2022 at 15:33

Not thought of who whups but p s could hit a ball.
Erik must put his faith in some of the youngsters and follow the path walked by S A F and SIR MATT who knew when to blood younger players .
We will be a force again .It is certain.

Well done, the Manchester United youth team on winning the 11th FA Youth Cup.
Perhaps another 'Class of 92' or new Busby Babes to brighten up the continual suffering of the club's supporters!
Happy now, Whups and company?

Fairs Fairs, whups now it's your turn to congratulate Man City on winning the league
Replied: 14th May 2022 at 13:33

I have been an active member on WW for quite a while and can never recall , apart from a passing comment, the FA Youth cup being mentioned never mind lauded from the roof tops. Congratulations to the United team on winning it but the litmus test is how many of the team ascend to the first team. The problem at all PL clubs is they need instant success so you have to be very good to make the first team.

Probably something to do with Chelsea dominating it for the last decade Broady but i'm sure I mentioned it in 2011 when we last won it
