I am sorry to hear that, but 14 1/2 is a good age for a dog, she had a good innings as they say.

Been there several times Cindy...2 dogs...2 cats...it's awful...we haven't had any pets since the last 18yrs old cat went about six years ago. Time is a great healer. Fortunately my daughter has 3 cats and my son a dog which I exercise regularly so I still have the "Contact".. You will keep the happy memories.

On about that dog, it sounds like it is 'jinxed' so you want to be careful with it

I'm so very sorry to read this. Our pets give us great comfort, affection and love during their lives, and I'm sure Pepper was a happy little lady with you.

I've only ever kept cats during my life, and had so many of them, but I remember every one, and the love they gave to me/us. It's a great sadness when you see them getting old and that their time is over, and we miss them as they become a family member.

You are lost and sad without her right now, but in time you will remember her with great fondness and happy memories. x

I’ve had cats,I just love them, early last year my son brought me a little Chihuahua ..his owner a breeder didn’t want him because his little nose was split..then months later his little heart gave was and he died at the vets..I still can’t talk to anyone without sobbing,so my son took me to Stoke and we got another little one..but I’ll never get over my little Gizzy he was my soul mate.
