I wouldn't want it anyway Tom. Some amateur dramatic society might take it off your hands. If you get dressed up when they come to collect it they might offer you a part in their next production.

Unlike our parents and grandparents, my Wife and I have never smoked and may be one of the reasons why we have lived longer than all of them.

OC you may have never smoked and I hope you are in rude health The problem years ago was smog or passive smoking or unhealthy working conditions which caused all-sorts of health problems Could the smoke m/c have been used to fumigate a greenhouse

PeterP

If you noticed, I only said that smoking was only one the reasons that may have helped us to live longer and you are right to mention about smog, passive smoking and unhealthy working conditions, all of which did not help the lives of those who lived before us and all of which I encountered during my working life.

No, it's not smoke like cigarette smoke, or smoky fog. They use a sort of liquid which is non-toxic, so not harmful in the least, otherwise they wouldn't be allowed for use on stage.

I've never liked them though.

Smoke machiners, and what makes them work

How is propylene glycol harmful to humans?
Although PG is generally considered safe, when used in high doses or for prolonged periods, PG toxicity can occur. Reported adverse effects from PG include central nervous system (CNS) toxicity, hyperosmolarity, hemolysis, cardiac arrhythmia, seizures, agitation, and lactic acidosis.

According to Mr Google.

The same stuff that's used in Vapes.

And used in laxatives, which explains a lot.
