...... hear that massive thunder-clap about 9.30 this morning? It was a loud bang followed by a long rumble. I thought the Russians had sent us a late Christmas present!

I didn't. Would it have sounded over where I live? On some nights I can hear the rumble of traffic on the M6 about two miles away, so my hearing is okay.

I did notice heavy traffic coming off the Motorway at junction 25 so maybe they shut the M6

I heard one, but it was about an hour later than that while it was snowing. I was out near the Whelley loop line, I wasn't sure it was thunder at first, I thought it might have been one of the machine's working on the new path. Glad somebody else heard it.

Whoooooooosh!

I recognise the music, heard it many a time, but didn't know the title or the artist. Never heard of him, actually. Until just now!

One of my favourite songs of the 60's Whenever I hear it. I'm instantly transported back to Newquay in 1969 with 5 other lads who worked at Plessey Wallgate on the Night Shift.. I'll be singing it again to myself, now for the next few days. Can't believe its 55 years ago...
