I seem to get just the one delivery of mail a week, when a clump of several letters is delivered, it is as though they have been saving my mail, until it is my turn to get a delivery, I cannot remember the last time I got a delivery on Saturday.

You no longer get a regular Monday to Saturday delivery as priority by Royal Mail is the delivery of parcels and deliveries of mail are dependant on what first class mail has to be delivered.

For example, second class mail where delivery was up to five days can now take even take longer and some undated and unfranked first class mail not be delivered the following day as it should be.

Like the parcel deivery service, perhaps the time has come fo the mail postal delivery service to be open to competition for mail to be delivered on time!

We now have a second class postal delivery service paid for by first class prices!

It sure is, but are you saying that if you are to receive multi page documents etc, you are happy to bear the cost of the printing ink and paper to obtain them off a email while the sender's save money by not paying the postal charges?

Sorry, where that's concered, give me the slow coach postal service anyday!

It seems that I am not the only one to be accused of not answering a question!

I disagree, important documents can be sent by email has a PDF file, which recreates the written document, I then view such a document on my large monitor, and that for me is much better than reading a piece of paper, and like you say if need be, you can 'print' the relevant document on to a piece of paper.
I think that eventually, only documents of a legal nature will be 'delivered' by snail mail, and such documents, letters if you like will be delivered for a price at the same time as parcels, yoo see, yoo cannot send parcels by email, not until the principles of teleportation have been developed
