Got a phone call today from a friend who is looking to buy a mobility scooter and as he knew that I gone into all the details before buying I was able to guide him on the quite length rules that are well explained on the UGuv guide.
Of real intrest is that virtually all dealers and many web sites say you do not need a driving licence which is true if the weight of the scooter is no greater than 150kgs.( can be 200kgs if carrying essential medical equipemt)
In my view this in some ways limits the range available in class 3 which I found out in time.
All worth a read if of interest.
