Last Weeks Observer
Read that the guy who stabbed the other man on Mesnes St. in July. (Why was he not tried for attempted murder?) Which no doubt most people have seen on video. Has been sentenced to 6 years No doubt he will be out in 3?
Now that's being tough on Knife Crime
The law should be. 'Anyone carrying a knife without Good reason i.e. their job'. Should be a mandatory 10 years
Not said it for a week.......
NO DETERRENT.

In my 1st job I carried three old kitchen knives and a stanley knife to cut paper/plastic off the parent reels of tissue paper They were always in home made sheaths made from cardboard and where kept in the bottom of a bag. But like Admin as said unfortunately even young children are going out armed with very large knives and using them Its time they built more prisons and also brought back the death penalty.

Pathetic British judicial system

Pathetic indeed. I've watched many Police documentaries, and rarely do the criminals get the sentences they deserve. Far too lenient but, as Peter said, there need to be more prisons built.
Yes, the death penalty as well where it's warranted as in the cases of murder. The chances of someone being wrongly convicted these days is negligible because of the advancement in DNA sequencing, assuming DNA is left at the scene, which it invariably is in some form or another. Sadly, our Judges are far too soft when handing out punishments, but they can only stick to the letter of the law as it currently stands.
