Newspapers
It is many a year since I bought a newspaper. I look online at various local and national newspapers. We know Harry & Megan are always in the news.but I think the Beckhams must have shares in the Daily/Sunday MailThere is not a day goes by that there is not a story about the Beckham clan in this paper. One of these days they will show a photo of Victoria SMILING now that would be a story. Are there any other people who are in the nationals so often . Most of the celebrities are covered by the papers which you expect but not every day.

I haven't bought a newspaper in years either, Peter.
When I was in hospital over Christmas I was bored rigid so asked my brother to bring me something to read next time he visited. He brought me a Star on Sunday, or summat like that and I thought, well, it's better than nowt. I couldn't believe the garbage that was in it. All about so-called "celebrities" I'd never heard of, getting up to all sorts of nefarious activities and I thought, who the heck is interested in this rubbish, apart from people with an IQ consisting of just two numbers! What a waste of paper, time, effort, distribution etc.

Mollie it would be the Daily Star on Sunday which sells itself has a daily fun paper. What does me is a story can cover two or three pages online under different headings, The top two stories at the moment is about some one going under the name "Diddy" and over 100 sex allegations about him and the saga of Donald Trump

That would have been the one, Peter. I was shocked to realise that my brother, who should know me better, would bring me rubbish like that to read.
That P Diddy is a rapper (which I hasten to add I'm not a fan of) so nothing surprises me, and that Trump person gets too much attention as it is.
Do newspapers, or news online, honestly believe that sort of rubbish is what people of average or higher intelligence want to read?
I don't bother with the news at all these days, mainly because most of it is either propaganda, sensationalism garbage, about celebrities, or just rubbish in general. I listen to the news on my car radio going to or coming home from work, mainly about local news, as that's all I'm interested in now.
