eccentric drills
having seen a facebook short video on these drills, I was fascinated so I priced some up on Amazon and, For less than a tenner you get a set of 5 drills 2x6mm,8mm,10mm,12 mm , if they do as they claim, I'll be happy
like butter through a hot knife

ECCENTRIC drills, Tom? Why would they be called that?

I'm not too sure yet Mollie but, I think they work off centre, Once they arrive I'll do a video and see if they do what the claim and, if they don't, I'll send the buggers back, Amazon are good for getting money back if they,
' don't do what it says on the tin'

Never heard of them before it seems the tip is off centre which gives the drill more friction ,be interesting to see how Tomplum goes particularly with the accuracy of the drilling

How can Tom say the drills are “impressive” on the video, but then post that he’s “not impressed”?

Maybe he was impressed with the quality of the drill bits but not their usage

I think that drill bit was OK.
On about drilling toughened glass ......
"Why can you not drill holes and cut toughened glass?
Due to the unique way that it is manufactured, the glass is designed to break into many tiny pieces, ensuring there are no sharp or dangerous shards. However, while this makes it a fantastic safety feature it also means it is impossible to cut or drill a hole through it without it shattering.
This means that the glass needs to be cut and shaped into the right position before it undergoes the process for toughening"

I think it is comedy genius, how Tom proved that when yoo drill into toughened glass, it shatters, it has really tickled me that

I think the glass has a bad memory, It let me drill it and was so surprised that it forgot to smash then, remembered its supposed to break so it did,
I get it now,,,
