With having to return the motability car I have purchased a new car and am going through the minefield of getting a quote.Because The car on motability was classed has a lease car my NCB starts at zero again. I have a claims history letter from Direct Line (the car insurers) which some insurers will take into consideration on a quote and some of the insurers have it now as part of your quote online, I am getting quotes for between £430 to£440 from the compare sites. £600 to £750 from say LV Hastings and Direct Line. The last time I had car insurance was 9 years ago with Quote me happy (Aviva) and I paid £190 fully comp I have just done a quote with them and they want £1847 I will keep looking the car is insured till Mon night

I got my insurance renewal quote last week, £374 (Ageas)
I looked on all the usual comparison sites and came up with £187, from Swinton, (Ageas, same policy, no claims protected).
