I had a look at the route and there are some parts of the route which have been given names which fetched a smile to my face

Have you tried the Monsall Trail of 8.5 miles in Derbyshire which is along part of the old Midland Railway line that ran between Manchester Central and Nottingham.

Well worth the ride with a cafe at Millers Dale.
