Its a piece of WW2 rememberability . they were fitted in the Lancaster bombers and other planes and I have one in my shed that I found near the 5 Grotes 10.BC coin, I was looking for sea shells on the sea shore but only found that rubbish, I'll try again on my upcoming Toms tour,

It is a 1939 Marconi R1155 receiver, developed for aircraft, specifically the Lancaster bomber. These receivers were very good and were still in use when I joined Marconi in 1968. They are sought after by radio enthusiasts and regularly come up for sale on Ebay.
