That video has opened my eyes, Tonker. Utterly disgraceful
5,000 empty rooms on stand by, being paid for with no occupants, just in case

Ive no idea where these hotel rooms are, or who owns them. Does anyone know?

All over. There’s one in Haydock, east lancs road, next to Asda petrol station and side of Lymewood Farm.

Lets put it into perspective regarding how many unnocupied rooms are being paid for, "just in case"!

I'll use Travelodge just as an example so you can see the scale of it.

They have approx 50,000 rooms in their hotels, in the UK and approx 600 hotels. Take the 5000 "reserved" rooms out of the system, and that would equate to 10% of all Travelodge rooms, equivalent to 40 hotels the size of the Blackpool Travelodge being reserved for immigrants

BB, neither Lisa Nandy or her dad hold government appointments. I don't know what her dad does, but Lisa is the elected parliamentary representative for the Wigan constituency, not a government employee.

Laaaaike!

Our new Labour Prime Minister spent yesterday with a few of his Tory friends at the St Ledger meeting at Doncaster.

I wonder if he was as successful as I was with backing the winner of the St Ledger which has provided my Wife and I with a nice evening out at the the Cherry Tree restaurant!

I was looking at the over seas aid which runs into many thousands of millions of pounds. Part of this money is spent for well deserving countries like China India -The space race comes to mine. Now part of this millions is being spent on refugees in this country. Can we now claim aid off other countries now we are becoming a third world country
