Council Housing

Labour, that is the party with the Grumpy leader, are 'supposedly' that is 'allegedly' they are going to put the Asylum Seekers who come across the Channel on those inflatable dinghies, the fit young men who have walked across Europe to get here, Labour are going to stop putting them into hotels and ex army camps etc, and instead are going to force local Councils to put them into any available housing stock that they have, and we all know that there is precious little social housing stock available in this country.

Tommy Tee, on my bike ride today past the police station on Scott lane opposite the red Robin pub, there was a mighty big pile of rubble and, I thought to myself, " what was that" and thinking it was a block of flats, Could it be that, Wigan are knocking the unuseable flats down to 'side step' the new gov't plans ?

The Council flats on Logwood Place are being replaced with modern Council flats LINK these 'new builds' which are supposed to be very nice, with low running costs, apparently the insulation technology used in these 'new builds' mean that the heating costs are nearly none existent.

But, will Wigan Council be housing asylum seekers in those new flats, under this 'Operation Scatter' thing which Labour are about to unleash on the UK ?
