Admin and tonker are right, but it is not only with our politicians, but also many of the public, especially some church people and the many other do gooders who see no problem in so many from different tribes and religions who hate each other coming into our country, be it from Africa, Asia, Middle East or even the Balkans.

And not all of them are fleeing percecution, torture or death, some to milk our system and others with the intention of killing the infidels!

Or like Billinge Biker has intimated, just another case of a drug gang related crime!

Either way, it mostly seems to involve the same people from the same backgrounds!

Knife crime is endemic, it’s a huge problem in towns and cities across the country and people are being killed and injured on a daily basis

Why are we in here only showing an interest when it’s the non indigenous who are behind it?

When listening to the second in command speaking in the hallway inside the palace of westminster quoted exactly what i have just wrote , and he in turn asked the reporter ,"""WHY AREN'T THE OTHER PARTY LEADERS DOING THIS """?? Or is it a matter of they have not got big enough conkers???????
Before it become's too late start sending them back or face the consequences !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Firstmate's Link.
"But France - as well as campaigners and critics - have questioned the legality of the plan. They believe it breaks international maritime law, which says people at risk of losing their lives at sea must be rescued."

Well, it begs the question why the French Don't save them?
They are coming from France so it is the responsibilty of the French to stop them entering the Channel or at the very least have a few vessels patrolling the French side of the water about a mile out in the Channel to turn the freeloaders around?

Yes they were Chesh

Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak raised the plan – codenamed Operation Windspire - with French President Emmanuel Macron during a bilateral call several months ago.

Under the proposal, British vessels could enter French waters and rescue migrants if they were in distress.

"Under the proposal, British vessels could enter French waters and rescue migrants if they were in distress."

They were in French waters, so why couldn't the French rescue them?

I'll tell you why, because the French don't want the freeloaders and quite rightly so! They will happily turn a blind eye and point them in the direction to Folkestone or Dover

We neither want, or need anymore of the freeloaders. They are a burden on our health service, schools, housing and tax payers

There were 62 migrants 'rescued' altogether. The British vessel rescued 13. The French vessel rescued 59. The British vessel might have been in international water and only entered French water when called for?
Gravelines is on the Dunkirk side of Calais, whereas the west side of Calais is closer to the UK with no international water inbetween. That's where the migrants are usually coming from.

I replied telling them that they had contacted the wrong person to do that..

I was told today that a gym in Haydock was being paid, by the government, to allow asylum seekers to use their facilities. They are being housed in the Ibis Hotel on the East Lancs Road. They are also getting appointments at Haydock Health Centre, whereas residents can't get an appointment to see a doctor for love nor money!

As for Wigan and Wiganers, I know they're reputed to be daft, but to vote Lisa Nandy in again, then complain bitterly about her policies, really takes the biscuit.
If Wiganers were Turkeys they'd vote for Christmas!

Who has said anything about the legal and genurine immigrants who have been admitted and born here?

What people are not happy about is the ones trying to get into the country by whatever illegal means they can and who not prepared to go via the official channels as they know that their applications will be refused as they are anything but people who are refugees or fleeing from persecution, torture or death and in many cases are criminals in their own countries.

If my family and I were genurine refugees etc, we would only be to glad to cross into the nearest safe country of southern Europe and not travel hundreds of miles across France and then cross a dangerous shipping channel in a flimsy boat.

The reason they do it is because many of the safe countries of southern Europe do not have a benefit system, free health service and not got as many do gooders as we have in our country.

I totally agree with the sentiments expressed on here about the price we are paying for allowing other nationalities and cultures to gradually take over. It needs to be stopped but i doubt that it will be any time soon. But their are other issues that seem to be overlooked and need addressing such as the amount of youngsters of every race colour and creed carrying knives, take the two teenagers who stabbed the elderly man walking his dog in Orrell some weeks ago, they aren't illegals or asylum seekers, and you see it in the news on a daily basis about some poor bugger being stabbed, again not all committed by illegals or asylum seekers. Their has also been a huge increase in anti social behaviour in various areas of the town caused by gangs of feral youths going unchecked.

Some people should keep their big mouths shut until we know if Labour are going to be any better and if past history is anything to go by, might explain why the Tories were elected back into power fourteen years ago.

As for the breakdown of the NHS and Social Care, the rising population due to uncontrolled immigration might have something to do with it!

The new health secretary has said it’s not a question of money it’s a matter of fixing a broken service.
Last week I had a call from a consultant who referred me for surgery a few months ago, he asked had I got a date for the surgery. When I said I’d had the surgery in March he said nobody had let him know. I thanked him and told him how grateful I was for his care.

Gaffer,

My Wife and I have encountered the same kind of people in the NHS not communicating with each other, be it on a smaller scale than your own.

We have put it down to there not being enough staff to deal with the increasing work load of the NHS.

A family friend who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis was, a couple of weeks ago, prescribed a medication at Wrightington hospital. It was to be given by injection on a regular basis by the practice nurse at the GP’s surgery. She’s still, as of Tuesday, going round in circles between the hospital and surgery to get started.
Rather than staff shortages, that are a fact of life in the NHS, it’s more the old fashioned top down management structure with its several, too many, layers of management.

The computer systems in the NHS are all to cock

At present I am dealing with five different computer systems within the NHS

GP Surgery
Pharmacist
NHS App
Outpatients
Swifqueue

The systems just don't communicate properly with each other, so a human intervention is necessary to transfer data from one system to the other.

About 20yrs ago they tried to develop a NHS computerised system to manage everything, and they failed because the computer technology was just not there in terms of a tried and tested and affordable model which worked, so they were trying to run before they could walk

Maybe privatising the NHS and letting the Americans run it might help.

Npfit was cancelled after more than £10 billion had been spent on it.
I posted in an earlier reply to OC that many of the problems of communicating in the NHS are down to the top down management structure.
Computer Weekly puts the failure of the National Programme for IT partly to it being an example of top down par excellence.

A serious communications problem exists between the individual "hospital trusts" which the NHS has dissolved into. This is especially so with the WWL trust. They have the same 'us', 'we are wigan', 'not part of it' attitude as the council has.
Gaffer hit the nail firmly on the head with his "several, too many, layers of management..... many of the problems of communicating in the NHS are down to the top down management structure."

During my time as a non executive director at WWL I was chair of the consultant contract appeals committee.
John Mosley a highly regarded vascular surgeon was there to advise me. During a lunch break he told me that in the past when he came into his office in a morning his daily surgery list was on his desk. He then said nowadays I have to go looking for it.
A common feature of the successful appeals was incorrect information from the administrators.
