Closure of supermarkets??

I have just been reading that most of the big supermarkets Petrol stations
etc are CLOSING thier doors on Sunday at 7.30 PM so that people can watch England football play Spain. My Question is will all these places continue to pay thier staff for the two and half hours lost through no fault of thier's ?????
After all not everyone gives a toss about football do they ??? I would be interested in knowing what WW members think about this .

If I'm not mistaken its Supermarket convenience stores that are closing early. The big stores close early 4pm on Sundays anyway.
Tesco said its more than 1,800 Express stores will close at 7.30pm instead of the usual 10pm or 11pm to allow employees to watch the final.
The supermarket said the move would allow thousands of colleagues to get home or to the pub in time for kick-off, while still receiving their normal pay for those hours.
Those employees who do not want to watch the match will be also paid as normal.
