Dilema

Being a , White , English born subject of Her Maj, I'm planning a display for the up coming jubilee celebrations at the front of my house but, being a considerate , respectful person , I don't want to offend any of our 'Johnny foreigners ' or their Woke, supporting do gooders and trouble makers,
So do I go George cross , Union Jack or Jolly Roger ?

Given the importance of this coming weekend, I would go Wigan Warriors Ancient and Loyal flag (which I have already done).

If you go Jolley Roger some one will moan because the skull and crossbones are normally black

Why not a Commonwealth flag? After all the Queen is head of state of Commonwealth countries.

If you can't make your mind up use a white flag. Simply!!! Give up. Or use our national flag, which is the Union Jack. Personally I would use our national flag because no matter what you do you can't please everyone, so please yourself.

I suppose it depends on how yoo see yourself, do you consider yourself to be English first, and British second, or vice versa, if you are English first then the Flag of St George, would be the thing, if you hold to being British first, then it would be the Union Jack, or if you do not have any allegiance to your country, in that case, you might think it more appropriate to use the Pirate Flag

Both the Union Flag or Union Jack are both technically correct. It is the way in which it is flown correctly which is most important, right way up or upside down. I was in Buxton last Friday where one was flying wrong. Much to the embarrassment of my friends I told the owner so. It is amazing how many people do not know the difference.

Well on my Union Flag/Jack it has a picture of the Queen so, If the stripes are incorrectly co ordinated , ( and it was made in China) I'll be forced to display it the right way up even if it is upside down,

I think you will find, if you have read his post further up this thread, that he has no reverence for the royals. And for the record, I find Tom a very entertaining person and an all round good egg. Having said that, I am not in his or any other gang. I take people as I find them. And I find Tom to be a very helpful and polite man. And he takes some stick from a few people on here too.

Judging by the number of people coming into our country from countries which have never had a Royal Family and are not interested in them, how long will it be before the Union Jack is replaced and our country becomes a Republic?

I will give it 50/60 years, especially with the ever increasing birthrate of the newcomers!

look at the delight on Her Maj's face as the fly by goes past
