Help!
I am about to run out of Bushmills.
I did lay in a stock, prior to Christmas, at a cost of around £20/litre.
I have not seen it reduced since. The current price on Amazon is £34/litre. That is more than I am willing to pay.
Jameson is on offer (one day only) for £25/litre.
Often heard it said that when it comes to Irish Whiskey, if you like one, you probably will not like tuther!
Do you think there is any truth in that?
Is it likely that Jameson will disappoint, if I have a taste for Bushmills?

'JOHNNY WALKER BLACK LABEL' WAS MY FAVOURITE ONLY PROBLEM.. I COULDN'T AFFORD IT THE ONLY PLACE I SAW IT WAS IN THE GRAND HOTEL THEY HAD A GREAT SELECTION OF WHISKYS. I CAN SEE THEM NOW, ALL LINED UP BEHIND THE BAR. EVERY TIME I WENT IN I WOULD TRY A DIFFERENT ONE. I NEVER WENT IN A "ROUND" WITH MY MATES AS AFTER A COUPLE OF PINTS I WENT ONTO THE WHISKIES WHICH COST DOUBLE WHAT A PINT COST SO I WAS BARRED. THESE DAYS IT'S ABOUT EQUAL,, CHEAPER IN SOME PLACES

Scotch is a bit too fierce for me. Irish, I'm OK with.

I have a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue which I was given over twenty years ago. I had it transported to Canada. I stipulate that anyone who wants to drink it has it without ice or water. It is still unopened.

Bushmills is €15 in Mora, but it's only bottle size. I think they do litres in the airport duty free at €22 and do '3 for 2' offers.
You should've let on week before last, I'd have brought you some back.
We're driving over next in July. We can bring more back!

Admin,
The last time I looked it was around the equivalent of £180 over here. Be wasted on me as I am not a whiskey drinker. Certainly not neat. I have a cheap bottle I use in Winter with hot water. The ratio is about 8 to 1.

Any Scottish people and those of descent who drink Whiskey will the you that the best and most popular Whisky brands comes from the Highland and Spreyside Regions of Bonnie Scotland.
Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie do all right for myself.
Och Aye!

Highland Park from Orkney is smooth and also don't mind a drop of Talisker.

At the ' Spirits Business Scotch Whiskey Masters', the gold medal for best whisky went to....
wait for it......
Aldi's own-label!
Haven't tried it, as stated, have customarily consumed Irish, finding it less harsh than Scotch. It is certainly one of the lowest cost options, maybe I should give it a try.

There's no such thing as "Scotch Whiskey".
And 'Bells' is only good for curing verucas!

My wife used to love Irish whiskey and tried them all, and she liked Paddy’s whiskey the most.
I like Jamesons ,and a visit to the Jamesons visitor centre convinced me,although to be honest I don’t think there are many that I found difficult to get past the tonsils.
