Eurovision
Obviously Ukraine will win..whatever the songs are like…it just seems silly to have it at this time

It was a foregone conclusion, so a bit of a farce really.

It’s been a farce for years…lm 100% behind Ukraine…but this will be wrong…if they give it to them

I woudn't vote for them, the song isnt all that good in my opinion, but many the world over will vote for them. I wonder who Ukraine will vote for. Terry Wogan would be able to tell us. I wish Ukraine all the best. If they win, their countrymen will be proud.

I enjoy listening to the Ukrainian Color Music children's choir singing You Raise Me Up from a couple of years ago.

It is not just the political voting which has ruined Eurovision, certain sources say that the voting system, has over the years been 'hacked' by Russia, and as a result the whole thing has been 'fixed' for many years.

I ve never watched it, but I hope Ukraine win, and if Russia is in it, they come last.
Replied: 13th May 2022 at 17:45
Russia is not in it, because they have been banned from it.

I am reading they were favourites even before Russia started kicking off and they did win in 2016.

Well ood a thowt that, certainly not me, Royaume-Uni came second, which was actually first, was it because it was a good song, or was it for political reasons, something to do with the UK standing up to Russia, and leading the way, because the last time there was war in Europe, it was the UK who led the fight against Hitler, all be it with the might of America on our side, and during the second world war, we were led by an eccentric but brilliant Prime Minister, Winston Spencer Churchill, so is Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson (that is his full name), is he the Winston Churchill of our time ?
I suppose I could be talking or should I say typing a load of crap

What I meant was those with BT, Sky, Talk Talk, Virgin etc can find far better programmes and films to entertain them on a Saturday Night rather than watching the yearly nonsense of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Even go to a cinema, pub or a restaurant!

Owd Codger
I'm recorded it on Saturday night, then watched the beginning sequence, which can sometimes be good, where it shows something of the country which is hosting the event, in this case and after about a minute, I thought it was crap, so I span forward to just watch the UK song, which I suppose was ok, but he screamed a lot in it, and then I span forward to the voting and watched that, now that WAS amazing to watch, but as regards to Saturday night TV, when the show was being broadcast, I was actually watching Netflix

I am joking
We won really though didn't we
I wonder why, because we normally get nil point, but saying that the song which won it has grown on me, and when Sam Ryder sang it at the Jubilee Concert, I thought he was one of the best acts on that night.
