Council Tax Rebate.

Apologies if this has been done before but has anyone received the Tax Band A to D £150 rebate?
Wasn't it to be paid in April?

Not due till the end of April If you type Wigan Council Tax Rebate then there is a explanation as to how it is paid.

Oddly enough I have just received notification from my bank that the payment is pending, so I should have it tomorrow.

If you pay by council tax by direct debit it is straightforward for the council to pay it in April.
Anyone paying by cash will be asked to take up a direct debit and paid through that in May.
If a direct debit is not taken up ,they will be asked to submit banking details and paid from June.

On the news it will be between April and September before we get it. As usual lots of scams going on but if we pay by direct debit there will be no problem.

Wigan Council - News (29th Apr)

More than 86,000 Direct Debit customers are due to receive their £150 Council Tax Energy Rebate.

Eligible households in Council Tax bands A-D qualify under the main rebate scheme, with a discretionary fund and application process for households in bands E-H opening shortly.

The rebate will arrive in accounts over the next five to ten working days.

The application process for non-direct debit customers will open soon.
