COLIN HURST R.I.P.

Started by: admin (1649)

Just heard that Colin Hurst died yesterday. Colin was a stalwart of the Wigan Little Theatre for many years, both as an actor, set builder and various administration duties. He was probably remembered by many people, along with Bill Collins, as the Pantomime dames in the annual Pantomime. I had a few good laughs with him whilst building the sets and on our JOLLY BOYS OUTING days out.
Condolences to his family and friends.

dougie, yes Bill is still going strong. I was talking to him on Tuesday at the theatre. Colin and Bill will always be remembered as the WLT Pantomime Dames, which they played for years.

I remember Colin from his St Johns Youth club days as teenagers and he could be lovingly described as a bit of a nutter!
He was also assistant mananager at Haigh Hall when Tim Sharratt was boss and it was a going concern. Always a great sense of humour and a very talented actor as Ron said.
RIP Hursty ,you will be missed.
