Boris & Rishi - Fined for Partying

Started by: Tommy Two Stroke (15390)

Now we know two things.

1. The reason why Rishi Sunak moved his stuff out of Downing Street.
2. Rishi Sunak will not be the next Prime Minster

If they get fined a couple of hundred quid each it is like me being fined 20 pence. Its just lip service and now its to late, It does not help those who had to abide by the law and could not see their loved ones in hospitals or at funerals

I don't think that it was a class war thing, I think it was just a stupid thing to do, and according to John Major, Tony Blair, David Cameron and Theresa May, they never had a party in Downing Street, because it is a place of work, and it operates 24 hours a day, year round, as the centre of government, and it is linked by corridors to other government buildings, and by tunnels to who knows where.

Read the letter that his tutor at Eton wrote to his parents.

It is online, and verified by both sender and Boris's family as genuine.

Basically, Boris does not believe that he should be held to account in the way all others might be. His intentions in this respect are even written into the manifesto on which he was elected.

Anyway, Rishi Sunak has requested an investigation into the leak of his personal tax affairs.
I would like to see an investigation into the leak of these partygate offences.

This is not political, for those who want to point the finger, but, to me, it is all about the snivel service running the country. The Civil Service needs a bomb under it.

How on earth can anybody blame the present government for the number of deaths in our country as a result of a world wild pandemic when we do not know if the figures would have been better or worse under a different government.

Same old story, the party of the day gets all the flak while the opposing party do nothing only criticise and moan about the other party, but never say, we would have done things better and different.

The question is, Which party are the biggest critics and moaners when in opposition?

On about the Tories being slow to bring in the firs lock-down, and therefore costing lives, it is now being said that having a total lock-down was unnecessary, a lot of businesses could have remained open, and I know that is with the benefit of hindsight, and we are now free of all Covid restrictions in this country, and the post end of restrictions surge in cases, which was expected, and which happened, is now decreasing on its own, without the help of restrictions, so the UK seems to have done it right, but China, where the damn thing originated from, is still locking down cities, Shanghai is locked down, and the Shanghai's are not happy about it.

But I don't think that having a cake and a drink at work, is a resigning matter, a bollocking matter yes, but not a resigning matter.

Tony Blair, Labour Tony Blair, Whupsy, that Labour Prime Minster, he sanctioned the UK taking part in an illegal war in Iraq, on the basis of a dodgy dossier, saying that there were Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, which could be deployed at short notices, and he didn't resign for doing that did he Whupsy, and yoo are saying that a man should resign for having a slice of cake.

Everyone is entitled to express an opinion and if the opinion does not suit your agenda, there is no need to to be person, unfunny or sarcastic in reply.

I do not agreed with some of the comments on here, but I have the decency to respect what others have to say without being sarcastic or making unfunny comments.

We get enough of the latter from many of the so called comedians on television these days.

To get a card giving you the right to vote at a polling station or send in your vote by post is obtained by filling in the election registration form delivered to a property.

But the problem is that many will not fill in the form with the result that a representative of a Council has to go the property and try to get people to sign the form which is supposed to be mandatory to return, but in many cases is never signed while many only sign the form because it is put across to them that if they do not, their credit rating will be affected or they can never be contacted at the address on the form.

The majority of voting registration forms are filled, but many do not vote because of a number of reasons including for example for example, having the belief that politicians are only in it for themselves, only for the credit rating, only interested in their own living or just simply not being interested in politics and voting.

In spite of the population forever going up, percentage wise, less people are voting than in the past, especially in local elections.

It would be no different if Labour or the Liberal Democrats were in power.

Yesterday in Finland, one of the British journalists asked Boris if he was going to help people pay for the sky high energy prices, which we have at the moment, and I thought that was the first proper question a journalist has asked Boris in a very long time, because normally they just ask him if he is resigning, for eating a piece of cake and having a drink, and I am sure the police do have better things to do, other than investigate lock down breaches.

As regards to what Boris did, yes he broke the rules, and he has been punished for it, so why keep harping on about it, I am more concerned about how Boris is going to reduce my energy bills, and that is what the media should be pushing Boris and the Tories about, he said yesterday, that he was "not attracted intrinsically to new taxes" i.e. no Windfall Tax, would it not be better for the media to savage him for saying that, instead of the headlines showing pictures of him raising a glass to someone who was leaving Number 10.

I expect he will survive the vote.

He has also undermined The Electoral Commission, has indicated his desire to neuter the Law Courts, The Speaker, the House of lords, The Opposition and The House of Commons: anything that might impose accountability upon him.

Absolutely spot on Ena Malcup,he will survive the vote, but for how long.
The Sue Grey report concluded that there was a lack of integrity and leadership in Downing St, and that points the finger at Johnson and not the minions he has sacked.
A bit rich of tts, after accusing me quite wrongly of telling fibs, that he supports the serial liar, and philanderer that is our prime minister.
Just another brexiteer clutching at straws, at the disastrous consequences of it.

Owd on a minute Fossil.

I am not a Boris supporter.
I am not a Kier supporter.
I am definitely not a supporter of that pillock who leads the LibDems.

If Kier gets slapped with a fine for having that pie and beer, I don't think that he should resign, because I don't think that it is a resigning matter.

tts,it's not because it was a piece of cake and a drink that brought a vote of no confidence by his OWN party,it's his lying, and incident after incident unbecoming their leader, and no doubt he will carry on in just the same way.
Whatever Starmer does is up to him and I am not really interested in your opinion on that as yet,but if you compare the Durham incident with the serial party culture at Downing st ,it doesn't seem to compare to be honest.

tts said,

"I am not a Boris supporter."

I bet Boris would give his eye teeth for a cadre of 'not-supporters' who would defend him with half as much fervour.

Yes I did in 2014 (local) 2015 (general) elections, and of course for Brexit in 2016

I was politically aligned for the time it took to put my X in the box, on the voting slip in the polling booth, the rest of the time before and after, I float above the politics, taking in all and asunder, and making the decision which candidate to vote for, and Whupsy I think yoo maybe getting mixed up with someone who is None Political, or Apolitical, those people do not participate in anything to do with politics, they do not think about it, and they don't vote in it.
