I do not wish to upset or fall out in any way shape or form TerryW, but i feel this and your posts on eating in/out etc should be under a different heading ,this is just my view . I think maybe under Place's/ handbags for example . GB

GB it's on the General board where anything can be discussed according to the owners. Not sure why you would think I would fall out with you for your valid suggestion.

A good thread for people to gain some knowledge of decent places to eat out. Nothing wrong with food threads, in my opinion. I eat out quite a lot.

So... It's either Summat to Ate or the Mahabharat both in Hindley, don't fancy the Indian in all honesty but I will go with the flow and what the Mrs tells me.

The La Cava in Hindley is a very good.

So I have heard, Domin0 that's near the Hockery Brook or whatever it's called now. To be honest I'm not keen on Italian food although I have had some dishes. Thanks.

Try Papa Luigi's on Wigan Lane Terry, you won't be disappointed. Excellent place to eat.

Sorry folks I have nothing to report on last evening. Just before we set off I had a phone call informing me of the sudden death of a very good friend of ours on Wednesday night.

I too am sorry to hear of your friend's death. It's very hard to deal with when you lose someone you care about. My condolences.

Also, continuing from Golden Bear's thread above and, with respect, might I make a suggestion?

Many years ago I was on another forum and I started a thread simply saying What's For Tea? Most people followed it and submitted their own recipes and ideas, and what they were having. Those who weren't interested in the thread didn't need to reply, but those that did, made it a very enjoyable read. Rather than starting new threads with the same subject? Just a thought.

If you want to splash out on a special steak meal for a birthday or anniversary, Miller & Carter, Parbold is the place to go.

On studying Terry Woods' () input on this website, I do remember that when he 'first' appeared (all niceties and warm hellos) he told us he had a 'lady friend', and, that he was a magnet for the opposite sex...

Can you all remember?

These days he seems to have acquired a wife - almost overnight. This, after several periods where he went missing, puzzles me...

I do remember an avatar, that Woods currently uses, being used by an ex-squaddie, now fallen on hard times health-wise, so I've heard, and it is the same one used by both. Coincidence? Or is this famous racist that had several guises some years ago when he spent all his living day behind a keyboard.

Times change. People come and go. Opinions differ. So what, you may say. But as the sun rises over Ince bar, this is food for thought.

Oh, fillet steak and baked potato for me and my lovely partner tonight. All lovingly prepared by her.

Nice tackle to come home to after a day at the footy.

Have a lovely weekend.

If you say so.

But you are wrong on all counts. By the way will you be staying long enough to eat your steak or will it be bags packed on off for another of those good lookers you pick up. Try one with not so many kids this time.
