Thr Price of Fireworks ......

Started by: tonker (27933)

....... Shocking!

Yesterday, I was stopped in traffic (nothing new, laaaaike!) on Market Street, Hindley, when I happened to look at a shop window display right next to me.
It had three boxes of fireworks on display. Two were priced at £300 each. One was £400 and said "now sold!" on it's label.

Unbelievable!

I think the fireworks we grew up with would be considered a bit tame now . Today's are catering more for adults I think and the louder the better. Total waste of money and who would pay hundreds of pounds?

There is a certain group of people, but we're not allowed to say who although you won't see them in a church, who use fireworks all year round, especially for weddings. They pay £thousnds for them. There is a shop on Blackburn Road in Bolton that specialised in fireworks all year.

A total ban on the sale to the public in my view.
