Maybe they have never forgotten what happened in 1415 like I mentioned on my smashing thread. This fish thing is just another excuse to get some payback.

My brother and his mates used to put their bicycle pumps up frogs bottoms and pump them up. Maybe we should try that.

I once went to Paris to buy some trousers while in France, but every pair I tried on were either Toulon or Toulouse.

Billinge Biker
On about the Cod War, and looking at some of the history stuff, it says that the Icelanders told America that if the British fired on their gun boats, they would pull out of NATO and close the American base in Iceland, and invite the Soviets in instead, so because of the important strategic position of Iceland in the North Atlantic/Greenland Gap, during those times in the Cold War, the British had no choice but to let the Icelanders keep their soddin fish.

Heard a few different tales over the years TTS... Politics and religion are the cause of many a war... No doubt it will be sorted at the foreign office over a nice brandy and cigar....

How can the frogs spot two of our trawlers... Allegedly fishing without permits.... When they can't see the 500 inflatables leaving their waters? And we are paying the frogs to stop it.
