Climate Change ????

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

I wonder if any of you on here read in the daily paper's last week about THE CLIMATE , and the effects it is going to cause round the globe , they did a piece every day about the possibilities of what could happen here in Britain.
Well after reading what they said i found it strange indeed watching last week at those super rich people who took a flight into the edge of space for a three day trip , if you did see it take off the question i pose was just how much valuable fuel was wasted at the take off stage ???? The amount it takes to lift off from the ground is astronomical surely when at a time when we are being told to look into what we waste whilst we are here on this small fragile planet and that we have to start saving our resources ,I FOUND IT VERY DISGUSTING THAT THE WEALTHY FEW CAN WASTE SUCH VALUABLE RESOURCES FOR JUST A 3 DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF SPACE.........Here is just a small snippet for youto digest ,,,,
AT LIFT OFF TWO ROCKET BOOSTERS CONSUME ( BURN) 11 THOUSAND POUNDS OF FUEL PER SECOND ,,,,,,,OR MORE SIMPLER
835,958 GALLONS OF FUEL.....There were 3 tourist's EACH SUIT COSTS £ 250 MILLION POUNDS TIMES 3 ,These are only a couple of facts there are a lot more , my reason's for this piece is that in one breath we are having it rammed down our throats to pull our belts in ,,, tighten this and that ,,,save this and that and then as i have just shown you this is what a tiny few of rich spoilt people are doing ,,, my question is this ,,,,,
DO THEY WANT TO SAVE OUR EARTH ?????????GB

Sonlyme; I agree with you and as i have been saying for years now WE as a very small country on the face of this earth ,are going full steam ahead ( no matter what the costs ) in implementing all these programme's and i might say a terrible cost to the ordinary people of this country , whils't like you say CHINA/USA / AND MOST OF THE EASTERN EU COUNTRIES ARE DOING SWEET F.A. Poland is a perfect example the EU has told them to cut coal production ,,, AND GUESS WHAT THE POLISH GOVERNMENT HAS TOLD THE E.U ??? "" GET STUFFED THEY WILL NOT CLOSE ANY COAL MINES """ SO I ASK YET AGAIN WHAT'S IT ALL INADE OFF ??????????GB

One reason for the forthcoming price hike for gas is that domestic gas production will suffer a 28% reduction this year. The shortfall could have been easily made up with fracked gas. The zealots put a stop to that. If gas is rationed at peak winter they should be the first to be cut off.
