Plebs
A new UK comedy called "Plebs" starts tonight on ITV2 at 10pm.
I like the sound of it, its about three young blokes in ancient Rome ,puts me in mind of Big Bang Theory but I don't think it will get close to being as good but you never know.

Not a bad comedy, (Film was Dross) every other episode was funny...Sadly, that means every other episode wasn't.

I knew Frankie Howerd had something to do with it. (Stage play)
Don't think I've seen the film all the way through.
Replied: 25th Mar 2013 at 21:08

Replied: 25th Mar 2013 at 21:13
It was excellent.

As will I. One or two moments, very Inbetweeners like.
Promising (ish)
Replied: 26th Mar 2013 at 20:48
Not seen inbetweeners. I avoid some stuff which seems aimed at a particular age group.
Wonder how many kids will acquire nicknames in homage to the dopey one?
The waterboy/man seemed to get a bit tiresome, but it was an 'intro' episode, so the character could develop.

I was distracted by 'Landlord'.
What had he been in? thought yours truly.
Google tells me that among other things he was in Doc Martin. I remembered him and his bothersome brat of a child.
And
Bugger me; he was only Dr Martin Dear in Green Wing.

I really enjoyed it and thought the "Russell Crowe" gladiator parody was spot on and yes the landlord could well become the hidden gem in this series.

Now, to my shame, I actually burst out laughing at Grumio's reciprocation.

Cheers, Mache. I shall be watching it.
Could have been much better, but funny enough on a drab Tuesday eve.
Grumio is definitely the star of the show.
